Today when I plugged in my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 and opened Kies I was told there was an upgrade - d/l that and now my computer actually recognises my device, even if it doesn't give it a drive letter - a requirement for Calibre.... Bryden

I've never installed KIES yet my Windows 7 PC recognized my Tab from the first day I brought it home and connected it. I transfer media to/from it all the time without any other software installed. However, I don't have any need to sync my Tab with my computer as most data is in the cloud. If you need to sync, then having drivers to allow this is a good thing.

Hi, I'm new and have only had the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 since XMas. Having problems with Kies via Wifi on the Tablet. When I click the screen darkens. Same thing happens on Setting WiFi - Kies via Wifi. Also on magae apps - Kies shows 0 bytes. The store where I bought it can not help. Is there a solution or must I try the "Factory Reset Data"?
    Thanks
