Whaaa. Well most of us first wipe the battery stats after you get the charge low as you don't want to fully discharge it but 2-3 cycle is recommended to fully calibrate it as I am sure you know. So whats the problem here? Let it charge, you mean its frozen you got BSOD? If so take the battery out and keep it 30sec out and pop it back in and go from there.

The phone won't charge from 0% when plugged into a computer. Just use the wall adapter.

USB ports are very poor for this phone. Plug it into an A/C Adapter and it'll be ready to turn on in 5 minutes.

Hmmm in that case take the battery out and keep it out. Then connect it via AC as some phone loads it but some requires you to have battery in slot for it to work.

I once had that same problem with HD2 as I discharged the battery it wouldn't start and it was stuck in logo as bootloop. Seemed like some type of memory effect what I did was kept the battery out and left it 5min and then placed the battery in then connected it via AC as it was charging in 5min I did cold boot.

Same thing happened to me last night. When it shuts down with 0 power, USB cannot pull off the Herbert West effect.
