Wondering what the text will look like (but don't want to be the guinea pig!)

If anyone has a Kindle account (or decides to take the plunge and buy a book), and can show a screengrab, I'd be hugely appreciative!

There's plenty of free books. Why don't you just get one of those?

The text looks GREAT! Text sizes, and page backgrounds are adjustable. There are FIVE text sizes and THREE page background colors (white, black, sepia). This is a great app. Download the free app, then any 0.99 book to see for yourself.

Oh, it's very easy on they eyes. I can easily see myself reading books with this. The fonts are big and clear and flipping between pages is so easy you don't even have to think about it. Automatically syncs with the books I've already bought too. Also keeps your current page synced on all Kindle devices.

This is the killer book app. I'll never even think of buying a kindle now.

Oh yeah, I agree! The Kindle App is the bomb. I had it back in the sad days when I owned an iToy! Thank God it is FINALLY available for Android devices.

Downloaded the"Secrets of the Freemasons" for FREE and am pleased with the text. Will give it a longer test run later, but awfully promising!

So now I have all almost everything I need - SlingPlayer, my music, now books! If I could just find an easy-to-use solution for video (although the new Rock player looks promising) it'll be the perfect device!

I'm waiting for my Evo in the mail and I'm definitely gonna try this out. I haven't read a book in a long time ^_^* (not counting college textbooks of course).

I was actually looking at buying a kindle or the (coming soon) e-reader from Google. This is great. I don't need to spend $200 on another gadget now!!!

this is too perfect! i too was considering buying a kindle or a nook device, but this app just saved the day. loving the fact that i now have access to a bunch of authors i couldn't find on aldiko. purchasing books is a breeze and the reading interface is great and very user friendly. love it.

this is the first time i've truly experienced the perk of having a 4.3" screen on a phone.

Installed. Went to archived items in menu and downloaded a few of my books from my kindle account. Tested whispersync and no problem syncing to location on kindle or ipad. Great to have all my kindle books on my Evo. The text is very readable. Won't replace my kindle for reading but neither did my ipad. Great for times when out without kindle or ipad and just want to kill some time in line or waiting for appointment. Thanks Amazon. Will be nice when they add direct purchase but ok for now as i have a large kindle library already.

Yeah but that links to the browser where you have to buy it. A future update is going to have direct buy so you never have to leave the app.

This App is awesome! It's the only reason I kept my iTouch. Now I can sell it.

Except the quality is not near as good as a true e-reader using e-ink.

Other than being able to search from a wider variety of books in Amazon's Marketplace... Is there any other huge advantages over Aldiko?

True, I wasn't expecting it to be the same quality. I don't do a whole lot of reading. Just now and then to pass the time. Carrying around a book/e-book is to much of a hassle. Having it on my phone works great for my needs.

Is anyone else receiving an error message when clicking on the Store link in the Menu?
