My daughter flashed Kings R4 and the kernel is tiamat evo 4.0.4. Her phone is doing some odd things Like not allowing her to save images in gallery. In her settings she still has cyanogenmod settings even though she is using the Kings Rom R4. What gives? We have wiped everything more than once. Is a factory reset safe while rooted? Maybe we should try reflashing the rom? Thanks for any suggestions.

I would re-flash the ROM again and make sure to wipe cache and dalvik (twice to make sure you get it). Also, it may bode her well to use King's Format All. Flash that just like you would any .zip file. I'm not sure you can even perform a factory reset while rooted, but don't quote me on that. :D

    King's FORMAT ALL

Try a different kernel. The stock one with kings is usually sufficient to work, and work well

Try tiamat 4.something else if reflashing or wiping fails...

Ok , thanks I will. I just finished re-flashing the Rom and I did use Kings format all as well. If the issues are still there, I guess I will try the stock Kings kernel for awhile. Thanks again.

I have had better luck as late with Tiamat 3.3.8. 4.x doesn't seem to give me the battery life that 3.3.8. That said, they all work differently on different phones. Same setup as mine on my wife's evo and she gets crappy battery life. Going to give SZ a try on her's tonight.

Agreed. Kings does't release stuff like this unless it is stable. Bad flash, kernel not playing well with phone, bad download can all play parts in issues as well as a bad wipe. Can't jump to blaming the rom for issues unless everything else is eliminated first. JMO

I think all of the Kings Roms are super stable. Videos work fine on all the Kings roms I've tried. I think its the matter of certain kernels not playing nice with certain roms.
