Has anyone else noticed a lag when swiping to open the edge screen? I have only had this the last couple of days and it is worse when the phone is first started from its 'sleep' mode.

Thinking about it I think the lag started after I put lots of apps into folders on the edge screen. Still seems odd though.

Is the lag present every time you swipe the edge? Or does it only occur the first time after a restart?

It is more noticeable after restarting from the lockscreen, then it only happens now and again if the phone is in use. It can be up to about a 2 second lag, then other times the edge screen opens immediately. Never noticed it until a couple of days ago.

As you surmised, it could very well be sure those apps you loaded onto the folders. They might be taxing the capacity built into the OS portions of the edge software since it has update for every app in every folders, at least after each restart. If you disable that particular edge it might eliminate the lag but at the cost of not having edge access to the folders.

I think you are right. Silly doing it really as the edge is really for apps most used I guess. I just fancied having clear screens. Thanks for your help.
