Do you think that this app modifies anything in the system that may be of importance later on?

Here's what that thread said:

Update!
I've built a very simple Android app that bundles the binary, and starts/stops the service (on boot if selected). I'll be adding more instrumentation, but for now, give it a shot! This APK does not modify /system in any way, so should be perfectly safe.

I saw this from another forum I am on...and I installed it on the Motion...after booting it seems to be running quite well and a little zippier, but that could be placebo...so go ahead and try it out see if it works for you..

EDIT: Just QRcode the APK and Download and install it on your device...that is literally all you need to do...

I am flashing stock 2.2.2 Optimus M firmware, will do some tests before and after to see how this goes.

yeah, flash through cmw. give the prompt a moment to load then pick the second option, the first one freezes your phone up. after that pick your mods/tweaks and install. :)

Really? Never had any freeze through that option, have installed it probably about 10 times, each time with that enabled. Make sure you clear the dalvik and normal caches.

I auto wipe everything except for system regardless of what it is, only ROMs get a system wipe. I tried it four times, each event ended in an infinite loading bar.
