I know there have been postings in the past....but any ideas to ckear the lag. It's getting worse all the time. When I go to look at an email, it takes 5 -8 seconds to load. I have tried turning off the vibrate and type sound applications. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated.

Are you using the latest ROM?
Do you have any 3rd party apps that you suspect might be causing the lag?
The stock browser is known to cause lag and has no exit button, use a task killer to kill it.
Try installing 'Spare parts' and turn the animations to 'fast'.

Failing all that wipe and start from scratch or concider a custom ROM like MaDaCo as it reduces lag almost to nothing.

Where do I find "Spare Parts" or the latest ROM?

    Thanks for the help!

Any task killer work? Or do you have one that works really well?

Spare Parts is in the Market.

Check the HTC website for the latest ROM, depending on whether you have a generic Hero or a carrier specific Hero (you'll need to select your country).

Try ProcessManager, but use it sparingly. Add all apps that you know run fine and aren’t causing lag to the ignore list. This will be the majority, you should have left only the stock Browser and maybe a couple of other apps that you've noticed slow the phone down.

Avoid Taskiller, it's known to cause more problems than it solves.
