Help Laggy video playback

i wonder if anyone have had this problem? very choppy video playback on the milestone, in terms of fps and audio lag in the video. no matter wat video player i use, its stil laggy. is it because of the new maintanence update by motorola last month, cos i dun seem to have such problems before. can someone pls help me? its a very irritating problem.

Are you rooted and have you overclocked your Milestone?

Remember that Milestone has a pretty weak CPU if you do not overclock it.

Also depends how you encode the videoes you want to play.

bang on the money... before rooting very laggy with video's... now runs just fine every thing I throw at it even hd 720p

@Szadzik:well, i am rooted and i will try playing my recorded vids overclocked tmr. Btw, can u explain to me wat is meant by encoding the video and how do u do it?
@TelusMilestone: i tot the milestone cant play hd videos?

Add: this problem seems occur only on video recorded using the milestone, and not with other vids e.g frm pc.
