Title says it all. Droid did it only with the keyboard slid out. Most other smartphones I'm familiar with do it too.

Am I missing some setting or does Android just not do it for some bizarre reason? I've seen home++, not quite what I'm looking for.

    Thx!

Droid X does it when in the Desk Dock.

You can download any Droid Dock app from the market. Some work better than others.

I tried DockRunner, but had to kill the process to get out of dock mode.

Dock Simulator seems to be a good one because it keeps a icon in the notification bar so you can "undock" your phone.

Once in dock mode, press the X in upper left corner to get to home screen. You can use in portrait or landscape.

Launcher pro will do it. I installed it last night and I already like it better than stock

When we get the 2.2 update it will be possible as well and in both directions.
