This is the last resort before I totally give up. I have an S9 and cannot for the life of me access the drop down menu when adding a photo on facebook. This is to add photos from other folders on your phone. I have spoke to people in the UK with the same phone and same software and they can access it. Basically it's a little arrow next to the word 'gallery'. It's jydt not there. I've tried everthing you can think of. Disable and enable app. Uninstall updates and reinstall them, cleared cache. Nothing, I would love to get to the bottom of this as it's driving me mad
Odd. All the phones I've looked at have that option within the Facebook app. Are you installing from the play store? Updated to the latest version?
When I go to add a photo from the FB app, I get access to pretty much any photo on my phone. Try switching from the Samsung Gallery app to Google Photos as your default.
Go to settings>apps>gallery and clear the defaults for the app, then open photos and it should prompt you if you want to set it as the default photo viewer. BTW, Google Photos might not come pre-installed on Samsung phones. You'll have to get it from the play store.
Okay, walk me through it .... you want to post an image to Facebook ... you tap on the camera icon? When I do that it calls up a single "gallery" of images with no way to search by folder. But, the list is ALL images on the phone, sorted chronologically.
Mine shows the downward arrow next to the word gallery, allowing me to choose which folder to upload from. I think it's a bug in the Facebook app, which varies from device to device..
Yes and its driving me mad as I sell alot on marketplace and need to be able to select my selling folder
While I generally don't post much to Facebook, what's displayed is virtually every image on my phone in one big list, so I don't have to search subfolders.
