droid x running 2.1 so i installed launcher pro (free w/ 3 screens) and its working out pretty good except for the fact that my icons at the bottom of my home screen will revert back to the stock launcher icons (grey). has anyone exprienced this or have a simple answer for me? it has happened at two random times today but i have no idea what may be causing this. i have used volumer++ to quit any apps running but that doesnt seem to fix it. ALSO, it wont happen while im using the phone. Its only when i go to unlock the phone that i noticed that the icons had reverted back. then ill have to manually change the icons again. Although, my contacts icon is the only one that will NOT change. lol

now it seems that my calendar widget will not update. it will stay in the same date until i delete it and install widget again. if i restart my phone, it will leave my appts. blank with just the date showing.

anyone experience this? i dont want to drop any money on the program if this is how its going to be.

I'm not sure and I know this isn't very helpful. I have not experienced this problem. I'm wondering if it's a common conflict with an app you guys are using?
Sorry it's not a simple answer but maybe you all can deduce it that way or perhaps someone else knows. Have you tried the LP forum? It could very well be there.

Update: I went to peak at LP forums and at first search am not coming up with anything. Wish you luck. I'm sure it's frustrating.

I will try and post it there but I did try something last night. I killed every app before I fell asleep. Unfortunately my calendar still did not update. Turned off the phone and my appts. were blank. The only thing I could see was the date and thats it. Looks like its a fail for me. Hopefully there is a fix for this. When I have time to copy down my configuration for this app (which I will do today), I will try rinstalling.

I think I have fixed the problem with the icons resetting if anyone has this issue just select the icon you want to change as normal and this time select the option to change shortcut and from here select the one that you want of course and after it will give you an option to change the icon and now select the icon you want and after this it should not reset back to default.

^ tried the possible solution above...

AND IT WORKED. usually when i would restart the phone, then the icons would change, but i restarted my droidy 2 times and the icons stayed the same.

BIG THANKS!

now only if i can restart my phone and have my calendar stay the same. it will blank out my appts. and just show the date. really annoying. funny thing is that if i try to resize the widget (im using the free version) and exit out, then it will throw my appts. back in the white space. quick fix, but whatever.

The only thing I can find anywhere regarding the Calendar is this :

Fixed a bug with the Calendar widget. The system that made it update at midnight every day (to keep the calendar updated) was leaking memory and causing force-closes after several screen rotations. For now, you’ll need to manually refresh the widget (use the little Refresh icon at the bottom of the widget) every day, until I can find a solution to keep it up to date without causing memory issues.

I was having this issue with 3 icons, I think something happened because those 3 items had updated recently but im not to sure. The way i fixed it was to redo the course of action to reset the applications and icons (reset the ones you having issues with). Since then no issues ever.
