    Morning everyone,

Was wondering if anyone was using nova, apex etc on their S3? I have used both on other phones and it was always smooth as butter. On this phone its very choppy when swiping to different desktops and loading the app drawer. I have even tried killing touch wiz in app management but still runs choppy.

    apex for me.works well.

how is the phone running in general? have you upgraded to
    JB and need factory reset?

I use go launcher after a factory reset.
    Smooth as a baby's but.

To be honest I've found that problem too both on the s3 and the note 2. I know lots of people have no problems with other launchers but I find them slow and with a bit of lag compared to touch wiz.

I've used them all, apex is nice but i recently switched to go launcher as apex had a few tweaks

Without the launchers the phone is smooth as butter, only see the choppyness when swiping.

No JB update yet for the Verizon model. I won't root and install until Jan when the warranty is up just in case.

mmm...yes, maybe the transition isn't the smoothest but wouldn't
    call it choppy.
are you using the standard phone animation
    settings?

HOLO LAUNCHER & HOLO HD LAUNCHER are a LOT smoother than APEX or NOVA on my SPRINT SGS III.Definitely worth a try,you won't be disappointed.:thumb:

It stutters as it changes desktops. I have nova set to be faster vs graphic quality

Actually if you want super smooth.. TSF shell is a good one, but its expensive.

TSF? I have been using launcher pro, nova and apex on all of my devices, ive never seen the stutter in swiping response until the S3

Had no problems with Nova - in fact I've been thoroughly impressed. Smooth and stable and plenty of customising options.

I've never used Holo on the SGS3, but it was good on the Desire.

I've been using Nova. Its smooth and quick, no problems for me. Can't wait for Jellybean.

Just like the few others, I have been on NOVA ever since my S2 get ICS.
Now running it on tablets, my S3 and Note2 with upgrade to Nova Prime.
I tried many of the launchers, and this one seemed just most refine, from UI to functionality and speed.

I'm using Nova Prime. Scroll speed and animation speed set to Nova. I don't think I really played around with any other settings. I use the cube transition for home screens. Everything seems very smooth to me.

ive used most of the launchers available, nova seemed to be the smoothest. im back on adw launcher after it was rebuilt from the ground up, not quite as smooth yet but im enjoying it so far.

Also, after I switched to Nova, I never experienced a single home screen redraw, which was very annoying with TW.

just tried out nova but didn't run as smooth as apex for me,
so uninstalled it. it was a bit slow to respond I found

Not sure if we are using different variants if the S3, mine is the I9300 and in terms of fluidity Nova is much faster than Apex, which redraws constantly.

yes it is odd that the same app runs differently on different
    s3s
