i didn't see this posted here, so i thought i would share with the phandroid community.

the update worked fine for me and, so far, i like the HC interface much better. warnings before you start: [1] netflix is not included and the market version will not run (device not supported). [2] there is no way to move back to the stock interface (android 2.2) at this point. [3] most of the market downloads do not work yet. while i have found that installing .apk files works with some apps, many will install but not load correctly.

does this update stream videos better from your computer? had tons of issues with that before.

just got mine, hesitant to hack it though. you cant add any apps without hacking it?

For what it's worth I tweeted Logitech saying the update was supposed to be out in September which was about over. Their reply was:


"@Logitech @RichSz65 We are working closely with Google and aiming to launch the product in the weeks ahead"


So Revue users have a bit longer to wait.

There is a Google-Samsung press event on the 11th. I wouldn't be surprised is something GoogleTV is announced then too. Guessing of course.

Really?!?!? Can't wait for THAT!! Is that the one that is in San Diego?

Yeah, it's day one of CTIA. I'm guessing that the tweet about "coming weeks" from 2+ weeks ago was hinting at this press conference.

Samsung had a googletv blu ray player back at CES, but no one has heard of it since.

Hell yea... just got my revue last week and would love a killer update to make it even MORE awesome
