Just found them in a thread about a possible 2.1 dump into the hands of the European Hero devs over at the XDA forum. Check them out:

Hero Android 2.1 Hero Build Screenshots

    Looks promising!

Remember, 2.1 is supposed to have native CDMA support built in. This means, theoretically, that if the Euro 2.1 ROM is released, devs *should* be able to cook up a ROM and release it for our Sprint Heros possibly sooner than expected! Assuming root will be required... :D

Android has had native CDMA support since 1.6. Nothing new there.

Gotcha, my Hero with 1.5 is my first Android phone, so I've known no better...

Yes, but his point is still valid. The CDMA support wasn't the news.

lol, no worries, they sorta hacked CDMA support into 1.5, which is how we on anything other than AT&T/T-mobile in the US can enjoy such a wonderful device.

I just hope that if that is what's to come, we don't get all the error notifications that are in those screen shots!

I hope your joking. I did not see the smiley though. What could you possibly tell by a picture. the intent was to show that a update was in the works. That's all. Good grief. :)

I like what I see on the 3rd set of photos down from the top!

The lil app that has an easy "on/off" for GPS/BT/WiFi/Sync?/Brightness. (This does not exist for Sprint Hero 1.5 does it? I know, I am still a newb!)

    Looking nice so far!

    looks great - sure

but, how is it gonna RUN??

the hero looks great now but it runs like CRAP

funny, my hero runs phenomenally well. i havent had a single issue. i think the people that have issue with their heroes are the same type of people that end up trashing their computers and having to take them to geek squad, all of which is ridiculous. btw, you have a giant link to your myspace in your sig. i think i understand now.

You have a low expectation of the word phenomenal.

heh - whatever! i repair computers for a living

NOTHING on myspace phases me, dumb@ss

for the record, i don't know WHAT the heck is up w/ my phone - MAYBE it has to do w/ the fact that i've got about 2k contacts - ??

    idunno - and really, i don't care

all i know is, it should just work - whether i'm too-cool-for-school like your eminence or a teenage chump or a soccer mom.. this phone should "just work"

    f off, terd

    understand NOW??

no. im really having trouble getting over the fact that there is a massive link to your myspace page in your sig. what are we like 14? oh, and it has a static background! nice.

you repair computers for a living?!?!?! NO WAY. what do you wanna whip it out and see who's is bigger too? i could care less what you do for a living. ur a small man.

I have the droid right next to me and I prefer the hero.

    Hero on 1.5 > stock 2.0

    2.0 does nothing hero's 1.5 doesn't.

I don't care. Multiple gmail accounts at the same time, battery life analysis and google maps navigation are enough for me. It doesn't have to look any different.
