LED not blinking for emails only

I have a Galaxy S7 and the LED blinks for notifications from every app except for email. It appears to me that I have the email app set up correctly for this but to no avail. I took the phone to the Verizon store and even they agree that it is set up correctly. I do receive a notification in the status bar from emails, just no blinking LED. Other apps make the led blink upon notification

I'm not familiar with the S7, but my HTC M9 has individual app switches for LED flash in Settings - Sound & notification.
