    Spam the crud out of VZW Facebook and twitter until they stop locking bootloaders I for one am going to leave them a message almost everyday until they stop this garbage

    i do not see this working, as it doesnt really seem to hurt them if only the dev community is the only ones doing it. cause lets face it, the dev community is the only one that needs it

    OP your passion for this hobby is great. Sadly though many have tried doing what you're referring to and it just isn't going to work. I know it sucks, but if you're really passionate about not being cool with VZW and their locked bootloaders the best way to voice that is with your wallet in the next device you buy.

    But they are slamming every phone, it worked on moto they provided a tool VZW made sure that tool didn't work on there phones.

    rumor is now pointing in all directions. fwiw the HTC ReZound and Galaxy Nexus both have unlockable bootloaders.

    A bunch of HTC phones now have unlockable bootloaders thanks to HtC, and no thanks to VZW.

    I'm with you OP on hating the encrypted bootloader for sure. We went through all of this last year. There was a petition that got Moto's notice but they never followed through. As a site policy, we don't condone spamming or anything like that, so even though I'm with you, I'm going to lock the thread.

    Still, you have to admit, the DX has nice options for root users. You can do everything other phones can do but you can't really change the kernal... no biggie. You've got miui and cm7. Really, you're set.
