Okay, I know the LG Ally is an "old phone", I have had it since June of this year. But I am having a serious problem with booting into recovery. I wanted to go back to stock and re-flash Velocity 1.1 because I was having problems with the dialer app. However, when I went into Clockworkmod Recovery and tried reboot into recovery to do so, I was stuck at the fastboot screen. I have re-flashed clockworkmod's recovery several times and I keep getting the Fastboot Blue screen. Can someone help me? I'm a little experienced with android, and can normally figure things out for myself, but this time I unfortunately cannot :(

First do you have a nandroid second do a battery pull. Third don't use clockwork mod recovery for the ally. They have problems. Plus you dont need flash back to stock to flash velocity. Use Among rate recovery. You should have gotten it with velocity

Oh yeah if all fails just use the unbrick guide as a last resort!

Yes I do have a Nandroid, I'm not sure if it's stock or not. I did a battery pull. The problem now is when I try to flash the Among rate recovery in the "flash alternate recovery" section of Rom Manager, I get "error in flashing your recovery". What do I do now?

I had this exact problem the other day. here is what fixed it for me, your mileage may vary:

Updated ROM manager app to newest version.
    rebooted phone
connected to wifi (might be important as new version redownloads the recovery image every flash)
Used ROM Manager to flash the clockwork mod recovery.
after it said success, flashed it again without leaving the app.

at this point I was able to reboot into clockwork mod successfully. I have not tried to go to amonRA because I am afraid to goof it up again, but at least I have a useable recovery system now.

    hope this helps some

Unfortunately, the same problem is still happening :( I don't think there's any hope for me at this point. But oh well, I should be out of my contract soon anyway, so I'll just get a new phone.

Go to the android develotment section>custom ROMS>getitnowmarketing> all in one recovery thread and flash the recovery manually. Itll work.

Also, you can download the recovery in that thread and flash in fastboot.
