    hey,

earlier today, i downloaded some songs on my computer and than transferred over the songs on to my phone. Just dragged and dropped in to the music folder. Than later that day i went to check up on the phone but it was off. So i pressed the power button to turn it back on. it got through the LG logo sign than it goes to the black screen of death. The computer didn't even recognize my phone anymore. It says that the USB device is malfunctioning and wont read it.

Please help. This phone is not even rooted. I have to pull out the battery and pluged in the USB and nothing works.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you .

Shouldn't affect the phone in that way though(storage is not really an issue-should still boot up all the way).

What version are you on ZV B-C-D:thinking:

Lets try this(without the phone plugged in):
Delete everything LG in your add/remove programs on your computer.
Run a disk clean up/and or temp file cleaner on the computer.
    Reboot CPU
Download the LG drivers to your computer
LG _USB _Drivers_All_4.9.7.zip - File Shared from Box - Free Online File Storage

Pull the battery in the phone-hook it up to the computer-then put the battery back in and power it up.
Does it see the phone now:thinking:

Take out battery and plug in to charger. Probably same thing but try of anyways. If you have a bad battery then it will turn on without battery in the device.

    @gbiggie

I've installed the driver that is in the lg website to a new computer. it says the same thing. When i plugged my phone to the computer when powered off, the phone turns on which is normal, than the LG logo than to the black screen. The computer later recognizes the phone, but it says its malfunctional. and i cant access the SD card. Cant even boot to recovery.

    Recovery:thinking:
Thought you had said it was not root:thinking:
Anyway up to you what you want to do:
Take it back to a corporate store and have them order a replacement.
    ---OR---
Try to use LGNPST to bring it back.
Could very well be that your screen has failed(LGNPST won't fix that) so best bet would be to return it.
