LG G2 Google Play Servies not working error

I have just activated my new G2 and am getting the following popup error about every 15 seconds..

Unfortunately google play services has stopped and then

the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped


I had something like this on my Gnex but can't find anything for the G2. I have used the search function and to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if will work but try into application settings and clearing everything, back to default, cache, all of it.

You probably haven't downloaded much or any apps cuz you can't get in, so you may have to factory reset. Hope this helps.

If you power cycle the phone, do you still get the error/popup?

Yeah maybe you could go into App Management within Settings and clear the Caches of a few things, but the question is what? I don't think the Google Services (which you'd find under running) allows you to clear caches.

If you just activated it, I think you could consider performing a Factory Data Reset without having to re-activate, but you would have to re-enter your GMAIL credentials and re-synch your contacts.

I actually have downloaded quite a few apps.. For my GNex it was something like deleting my gmail account on the phone and then redoing it.

Try it. Maybe it will help. You can Google it. Might be other solutions.

try going to your system settings, then to apps, scroll to the right to all apps go to downloads open it and see if it is enabled if not enable it and see if that helps.
