LG G4 Wifi repeatedly "goes stale"

Newly acquired a G4 to play with its photo capabilities, and like it in general. Except that I repeatedly need to refresh the wifi connection. It works great and fast for a while, but then I'll get a message that the server is unavailable or similar from an app. This seems to be after re-waking the phone, not when the phone has been used continuously. I don't need to forget or anything drastic; just a quick off/on cycle of the wifi does the trick, but it was never necessary with any previous phone in the same wifi environments. This is happening the same at work and at home, while not with my other devices - current or past.

I spent some time on the phone with a pretty good Verizon tech, and we tried things like Safe mode, clearing the caches, and a complete factory reset, with no real differences afterward.

Is this a feature of some models of phone, or is it likely to be something wrong with this phone? They'll send me a new one, but maybe it's normal?

    Thanks for any advice,
    Len Bates

Eel Pres, thanks for the reference. I wish they could. I did see that thread before. The weird thing is that the phone is doing ok on my home WiFi. It's at my office that it goes stale. We have a very active IT department, and of course I can't "mess around with the wireless" there. Other devices don't have the problem at work.

    Thanks again,

I know our wifi at work has pretty limited bandwidth available, and with up to 1,500 people using it, I think they have it set to disconnect after a certain period of inactivity. But that wouldn't explain your co-workers not having your issue.

I wonder if the channel is simply very congested then? Do other employees connect their phones or are you talking laptops/PC's etc?
