    I up dated my lg gt540 to android 2.1 now i cant download from the market it gets stuck at starting download.ive tried some thing but to no sucess.apologies if this been posted b4

    Welcome to Android Forums.

    First thing I'd try is to go to menu>settings> applications >manage applications and find the market app on the "all" tab. Clear the app data and cache. You may have to also do that for the vending.apk. You will need to re-accept the TOS agreement but it may fix things for you. You may also want to check out LG Optimus (GT540) - Android Forums and see if it is common to that update.
