Lg Motion EXT formatted Sd Card

Is it possible to format an sd card in the ext format and use it without flashing another rom. I dont mind flashing cwm but want to keep the stock rom. I dont like the 4gb file size limit attached to fat32.

I believe the recovery in 2nd init has an option to partition an addition amount of memory on your sdcard as ext3 or 4, not sure though and I never got it to work (music started skipping that was saved on the card, not sure that was the cause but it doesn't skip for me now so better safe then sorry for me)

dont those formats have a size limit as well?
