LG Optimus Net10

I just got an LG Optimus Net10 3G Android phone. I am new to smartphones and don't know the ins and outs. The problem I have is: I have lousy phone reception-lots of dropped calls and calls cutting in and out. I can get emails, etc. just fine, but basic calls are a big problem. Net10 helped me update the PRL and the Profile, and now it works a little better, but still not acceptable (less dropped calls, but still cutting in and out). I had a different Net10 phone for the past 2 years and had outstanding phone reception in the same location. I get between 1-2 bars to turn green. Any ideas what I can do to get decent reception?
