I had bricked my LG OPTIMUS T P509 earlier and was stuck in a never ending loop of LG boot.
Eventually realized i had a bricked phone.
Decided to play around and found KDZ Updater.
After much research and googleing i found the kdz file for the LG OPTIMUS P509 and was able to flash the phone back to Stock again.
It will recovery in Android Recovery 3E and you just do a battery pull and it will boot again.
Will take awhile to boot up but after it does your phone is back with everything stock.
Strangely nothing was erased keeping all my apps intact.

Only downfall, root was lost.

Hi, I tried installing custom recovery and I guess I did something wrong and bricked my phone, LG Optimus T. It just stays on the LG splash for ever, does nothing. can't activate recovery using "home + vol-down + power" or any other mode. I am a noob, so I am sure I screwed up on some obvious thing I should not have done. Tried to take out the battery for a while, nothing helps.
Can some one help pls.

Hi, could you please provide a link for the firmware or upload it somewhere and share it? Thanks!

Can you list the links for the KDZ updater and the file to reinstall everything?
Thanks.

I can't post the link (forum rules), but I can give you the information you need to find it yourself.

Hint: LG site uses a standard format
Model Name is:LGP509BK
Suffix is: ATMOBK
Firmware Version is: V10L

To the previous poster, thank you so much! You did save my life last night. I bricked my phone when trying to update the software to v10L. I found the KDZ program and the update file and did the software update in less than 15 minutes.

i came across through a series of links a .kdz file named V10L_00.kdz
would this be the correct file name to be associated with this device?

I have the KDZ file and the KDZ program on my laptop .. I have bricked my phone. Can someone please tell me the steps that I need to take in order to flash my phone.. Thanks!

I have read almost everywhere I could think of on the web and decided its time to request some professional help. I tried to use kdz updater on my optimus T (rooted and stock 2.2 froyo rom installed running fine) but in the midst of file transfer and emergency mode my laptop froze. Now I cant even turn the phone on :/ and every button combo ive heard of, even for the other optimus series phones hasnt worked to retrieve emergency mode. Is my phone dead and Im screwed? Or is there any way someone could help me please? I cant afford a new phone :(

If you can't get it into Emergency mode, it's not looking real good. Have you tried pulling the battery and then holding the power button down for 30sec., then put the battery back in the phone and hold: home+volume down, then the power button (all at the same time). Let me know what you see, if anything.

Read this article. It helped me out of a similar situation. http://androidforums.com/optimus-t-all-things-root/455670-how-i-unbricked-two-phones.html

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! My problem (for purpose of possibly helping others identify): LG-P509 Android phone 'suddenly' dead this morning (12/2015), working last night, not this morning, nothing interfering in meantime; usual tactics did not help (removing battery, leaving it out for a while, scrubbing contact points, etc). All I could get was a flashing red 'end of battery' image, wouldn't take a charge. Hope this is not too late to be seen by suggestion author, since it's now been years from your post, but I wanted to let you know that out of all the 'answers' I looked at and things I tried, YOUR idea was what saved my phone!!! Thought sure it was a dead duck this time. Hate to think of what all I would have gone through if not for coming across - and trying - your helpful tip!!, especially when -- as it turns out -- it *was* still salvageable! Thank you SOOOO much!!!!!! You saved the day!!!
