LG-p500 battery drains

hi,

i recently changed my SIM card in my LG Android phone.The batter drains out very quickly even without using interent on my phone.Fully charged battery lasts for 4-5 hrs.

Could be something running in the background., try pulling the battery out and put it back in and see if it persist.
