Help LG's bootloaders?

Since you're registered here for more than one year now, you should know that there is a search function and probably other threads with the same topic like this one:

http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-2x/256474-about-rooting-optimus-2x.html
Sorry but this is definately not the same topic and a separate thread is totally justified. Mehrsau, i think it sad that your 1st and only post in our forum is so unhelpful. I did see mention elswhere that the bootloader was looking to be locked ala Motorola:mad:, but I'm hoping that this isn't the case. Maybe the XDA developer forum is the best place to ask the same question.

As far as I know, LG has not locked down boot loaders in their phone. Also their UI on android home screen is not so extreme or intrusive like Motoblur. I hope they keep it that way.

It may not be as intrusive but it is gawd awful ugly and a complete knockoff of Touchwiz. LG's attempt at a UI couldn't have been any more uninspiring.

Looks like you are talking from the review videos on global LG 2X phone. It looks like TouchWiz in the video, I agree. But their Ally and Optimus One phones in the U.S carriers (Optimus S, T, Vortex) don't have TouchWiz look at all. It looks more like stock android UI with LG's bottom dock icons. I wish LG keeps it that way when they bring 2X to U.S.
