I have recently done S-Off on my phone, i am glad i did, i was doing some research on these forums and found a useful link that includes many radios from the Htc EVO 3D for sprint (CDMA) [RADIO] HTC Evo 3D (CDMA) Radios [PG86IMG.zip] (Updated: 31 July 2012) - xda-developers

Warning: These radios will only work if your phone is S-Off i dont take responsibility if your phone Catches on fire :p, You should also have an older version of H-boot (1.04). This is not my work, i am just doing a detailed post about it. dont forget you can always go back to stock radio by flashing the RUU. USING STOCK ROMS WILL CAUSE BOOTS LOOPS. I recommend a sense based rom 3.6.

I tested all these radios and noted down the signal strength/speed/functionality/and daily use.

UPDATE: Links have been fixed, Thanks Brian706 you can find his orignal thread Here>

    http://androidforums.com/cdma-evo-3d-all-things-root/648902-radios-hboot-firmware-all-downloads.html

    From Gingerbread-based RUUs:

0.97.00.0513: this is one of the older radios i got decent signal on it better than stock but my speeds were not very consistent, sms mms and phone calls functioned properly.

0.97.00.0518: This is probably one of the most commonly used radios for evo 3D users, my signal was good but it fluctuated quite a bit, my data speeds on the other hand were probably some of the highest i have seen, sms was good mms was not sending though for some reason, phone calls were working properly

0.97.10.0530: This is the currently radio i am using it is the best for me, My signal does not fluctuate very often im consistently getting full bars and 3g, my data speeds are very equal to the stock radio, sms is fast mms works phone calls are good, my battery is still at 80% on midnight rom (off charger for about 6 hours light use few phone calls 50 texts and some data usage also lots of data speed tests) i highly recommend this version for the evo v it may not work as good as you but a lot of 3D users seems to prefer this one the most.

0.97.10.0808: I ran this radio of about 20 minutes i was getting many reboots for some reason im not sure why, i flashed a different radio over it and didn't test it much.

1.06.00.1216: (last version of the GB based radios) This was an average radio signal was ok not much fluctuation , similiar to the stock radio just less fluctuation.

    From Ice Cream Sandwich-based RUUs:

1.09.00.0706: I used this radio for a few hours it is the latest version and is ICS based my signal did not fluctuate much but my signal seemed much weaker then it usually is, my data speeds were decent though, sms mms and phone calls were functioning but for some reason my phone was heating up a bit possibly from the weak signal.

    Wimax:
Don't Forget to flash a wimax radio with these the orignal thread has all the information you need about this.

Update: I suggest reflashing your radio and/or wimax radio after flashing a new rom i was studying my signal strength and fluctuation earlier and i noticed after i flashed my new rom i was getting weaker signal so i tried re flashing the radio and back to normal :D, so if you feel like your radio is not working as well as it was before you flashed a new rom try doing this.

Thanks for the link. Can you find WiMax radios as well?

All you have to do is go to the link at the top of the page these where taken from xda. I dont see why you would want a old wi-max radio. I would assume the newest is the best for the most part.;) Also no one has tested them as far as I know so be careful. ;)

I say this should be in the ATR sticky up top that agentc13 created, cause our radio spot looks a little empty there lol.
Or are we saving that empty spot for VM radios? Or just sticky it period as this is useful info and would be nice to have easy access to it. :)

try them EVO 3D users have reported better signals than with stock
Your welcome i thought this would be an interesting topic as i was reading through the pages on the thread, then i decided i should try all of them and report back with my results :D.

Hello, I am running midnight's 1.2.0 rom, I am s-off and my phone is ICS based. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but with my phone on ICS, I can't flash the GB based radios, right?? If not, is there a way to do this without ruining my phone?? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Also, when we flash radios, whichever one it is, are we suppose to run update profile and update prl in the system updates section of settings?? Does it do anything to help/hurt this?? Thanks

Wouldn't be a bad idea to update the profile as stated by Leslie in her thread. If you have a PRL that you have flashed and want to keep that specific one then I'd say no to that. Maybe Leslie will chime in here. ;)

Thanks for the feedback. After updating the profile, it seems like I'm having 1 to 3 bars inside my house, whereas before, it showed up as zero bars, so as it seems, it did help a little.

On your midnight rom, your version I take it is ICS based then??

yes im on 1.2.0 :D im running the .530 radio on it

If I'm correct, isn't 1.2.0 the version of midnight's rom. I'm talking about the ICS version, I am running ICS 4.0.4 What android version are you running?? It would be under settings, about phone.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I am exploring the CM9 I just installed, so probably in the next couple days, I will try some different radios, now I know that you have tried different radios. Thanks again.

Anybody in metro Atlanta area have a good radio and PRL? I tried PRL 60690 but it wasn't that great along with radio 0.97.10.0530.

have you tried 61009? its the most up to date with virgin mobile

Yea, I tried 61009. It seems to be about the same with 60690 (which is the PRL from Leslie Ann's "Fix everything by turning your phone into an EVO 3D" thread). I flashed the radio from that thread too but I find myself lacking signal strength and data sometimes even though I'm right in the center of Atlanta!

I've tried almost every radio. Gave them all a good day's run.

The top in my opinion - and very stable is 0808.
    Second is the latest 1.09
and third is older stock 0530

thank you for the feedback, 808 is always my second choice 1.09 never worked good for me but maybe it just depends on your area have you tried any on wimax? :D

Any comments on the wimax radios on the xda thread? Any improvements over the stock wimax radio?

I'm currently running 530 which is running rather nicely (I did notice 3g is a tad slower than the old one on the "fix everything" thread, but so far very little signal fluc. and no sms errors so I can deal with that)
