I have a rooted Desire with a vanilla Sense ROM. Like most Desire owners, internal memory is always an issue.

I recently created a 512 MB ext partition and installed Link2SD (from the market) to move my apps over. Up until now, Link2SD would move the app and Dalvik cache, which was great and freed up a lot of space. But it wouldn't move the library file, which in the case of space hogs like Adobe Flash and Air, was actually the largest part.

Well, as of the most recent update, Link2SD now moves the library files too. So you can now move almost the complete app over to your SD card :)

IMO this is a great solution for rooted users that don't want to play around with custom ROMs. And the program has a pretty good interface too, showing you the exact amount of space taken up by the app, Dalvik, and library for each individual program. You can then choose which bits of each app you want to move over.

    Excellent!
I missed the recent changelog update. The app even states the size of the lib, which is extremely helpful.

However, I'm having difficulty to mount ext3 partition. Message "Mount script cannot be created. mount:Device or resource busy".

Isnt it already mounted via a2sd? Perhaps a conflict with however the script you use mounts. On dark tremor I sometimes had issues mounting

Hmm, I read some posts at XDA, and it looks like app2sd and Link2SD can't work together on the same ext partition. Perhaps, disabling DT script and even moving apps to internal memory needs to be done fist?

Well thats what I would expect. I really struggled trying to get cache to move to ext with a2sd working as the scripts both want to utilise the same mount point.

May I know how u got Link2sd running on HTC Desire? I did the following but met with an error: not enough memory

    1) rooted HTC Desire with Unrevoked
    2) partition sdcard via Easeus to create a new 4GB FAT32 primary partition (this is an additional partition on the SD card)
    3) install Link2sd
    4) unable to mount the 2nd FAT32 that i just created when i launch the Link2SD

    Any advise/guidance is appreciated!

Its supposed to be an EXT partition not a FAT partition.

I think the second partition can also be FAT32, but both partitions should be primary.

I wonder if there is something else i should be doing other than the standard unrevoked root + creating an additional FAT32 partition on my SD card in my quest to get the Link2SD working (on HTC Desire GSM) i wonder?

Try reading this topic (which is quite long) to see if anyone has succeeded with Desire, and which parameters were used.
