I have been using link2sd for almost 6 months and it has worked flawlessly, except when i try to link apps that are bigger than the internal storage available.

    Examples

    Internal memory - 40mb remaining
Primary partition - 12 gb remaining
    2nd partition - 1gb remaining
size of app trying to link - 20mb

The above scenario the link is succesful

    Internal memory - 40mb remaining
Primary partition - 12 gb remaining
    2nd partition - 1gb remaining
size of app trying to link - 45mb

The above scenario the link fails.

Is there any fix to the second scenario? I have enough space on the 2nd partition so i'm guessing there whould be a work around...

    Thanks in advance.

Hey there welcome to the forums!

I have moved this thread into the Android Applications forum since you are having issues with a particular application.

    Hope this helps :)

My guess is the app you're trying to move has a copy protection on it to where it can't be moved is my guess. A example would be the app qq browser it has a copy block on it to where no matter even having root its not going no where but sitting right on the phone.

    Thank you :)

I have moved it earlier, I'm sure I would have been able to move the app if the available internal memory was more than the app size.

Where is the app you are trying to link? If it's in internal space, can you move it to SD (the built-in way) and create a bit of space before linking?

I don't know how exactly Link2sd works. The behaviour you describe sounds a bit like it's temporarily making a copy in internal space, but that would be silly. Can't think of any other reason, unless it's just a strange coincidence the two sizes (app and internal space) being like that.

Has the app been updated since you last moved it? If so it might be that something has changed.
