Help Linsys wrt610 WIFI ISSUE

The issue that I am having is that if I turn off SSID broadcast on my router, the phone can not connect to the wifi. If SSID broadcast is turned on there is no problem. Someone please help with this issue.

Turning off SSID does not make your network any more secure: Why Disabling The SSID Broadcast On Your Wireless Network Access Point Is Bad Leave SSID on and change it to a unique name.

I think that article was geared more for buisness use.

I hide my SSID and have no problem with wifi on my incredible. But I have a WRT160N.

It applies to home users as well. Turning off SSID causes the network to poll much more frequently (because no SSID broadcast is present and clients must poll the router to make sure it is still there), and a packet sniffer can use this frequent polling to get whatever information it needs to breach the network.
