Lipsync problems

I purchased a HTC Desire a few days ago, and I am very happy with it so far.

But when watching videos, both youtube content and downloaded files, the audio is slightly out of sync. Is there any way to fix this ?

Edit: Its the same for Speaker and Headphones.

Thanks

It's a known bug I believe, the Austrailian Telstra Desire has a software bug with the GPS software code, a update fixed the gps, added voice search, and allso fixed the audio synch problem( I think ).

May not get fixed for Europe untill the Froyo update.

Thanks man. I have an Ironman 2 720p trailer which I converted from .hdmov to .mp4 which plays fine, but everything else Ive tried is out of sync, The files are audiosynced on my pc.

Youtube vids, and mp4 stored on sd card. Ill test some more vids for reference.

Have afew mp4's om sd card, and the Ironman trailer is in sync, while the others are not. They are not 720p, so perhaps the video decoding is slow enough for the audio to get in sync with 720p content.

Hmm thats a odd one, I haven't tried putting .wmv's on my desire yet... all my most of my vids are mp4's for my iPod touch.... it could be that the video is not actually a WMV or it could be a old encoding ?

I just tried yxflash player, and that played wmv perfectly. Have just purchased the full version. This player also handled the mp4 vids ive had sync problems with without delay.

Nice, might give that a try, could just be dodgy HTC codec support, one of the threads suggested that it might be a Snapdragon Chipset issue though as the HTC HD2 has had simmilar issues, I wonder if the Sony X10 has had issues.....

yxflash also handled .avi perfectly, and without sync issues. Only problem is that they take 48 hrs sending registration code.. crap..
