Take a look here: Froyo Kernels by slayher - CyanogenMod Forum - Page 5 (scroll down to post #91).
Ty i love this rom thanks its Awsome
Really? So you mean there is a built in script that
turns on compcache when the phone reboots?
The kernels on the index page say v1.5?
Are they the latest with the new wifi module?
Just want to make sure, downloading now, flashing in a few!!!!!
THANK YOU LIQUID, LIQUID GurL and the entire testing team!!!!!!!
do we have to run compache in terminal?
good to see the new features. thanks for all the hard work put into this rom.
They say 1.5 for LFY 1.5, not for slayher version. And yes, they enable compcache automatically after each reboot (I tested this functionality multiple times last night).
Nope, you don't have to run anything in terminal to enable compcache -- it's built into the ROM.
Is the stagefright *fix* the build.prop setting needed
since Pandora has been fixed as of 1.4.1?
what is this "stagefright" fix all about?
thanks liquid and slayher for the sweet new roms and kernels! keep them coming! i get kinda antsy if i have to run the same rom for more than a few days, lol!
How Do I Install The smoked theme to my phone?????
Just download the theme (.zip file) and then flash it like you would a ROM (but DO NOT wipe data/cache or anything like that).
It fixes the audio issues people have had since 2.2 came to the droid with regards to streaming audio quality (Pandora for example).
when i download both the rom and the theme, i get folders, not .zip files. why is that? how do i fix that? thank you
The stage fright fix is built into the source and is not the build.prop hack you are thinking of and will not effect your quadrants scores like the hack does stage fright is the streaming media decoder that apps like Pandora use to stream music to your droid.
How can i reinstall launcher pro after I have uninstalled it? I keep trying but it errors out every time.
(from the installation text:
I always perform my backups via ROM Manager so I can properly
label my backups. If you need to do a backup at this point it
will work exactly the same way but it names your backup with
time and date information (you can rename the file later)
Here's how to create a backup in ClockworkMod Recovery
From the main recovery screen, go to: Nandroid and then select
Edit: Ok, so I used the app "QuickBoot" and booted into
*Recovery Mode* using Clockwork Recovery and now I understand.
My bad...I was confused
Liquid, Slayher, GL2T, UBR, Thank you for all your efforts, time, testing. I can't wait to load up 1.5. I've been nothing but Liquid since 1.3 and love it. This day has been all around excellent, and not a new LFY to end it. WOOOOOOOFUHQINHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Thank you all.
Thank you for the clarification on this Liquid
I appreciate it very much.
Question for you.
Did you install LFY 1.5?
If so how did you uninstall Launcher pro since it
was made a system app in this version (according to the log) ?
Yes it is now a system app and included in the stock rom as well as the theme updates
You can do it using the scripts and a terminal emulator.
Shouldn't there be a script to push it back to system/app?
I didn't see one. I'd rather it not be a system app though. If there are updates you can't do them if it is one. I have the paid version and want any updates I paid for.
Quick question. After first installing the ROM, upon pressing the home button I am given a choice between ADW.Launcher and LauncherPro. What is the difference and after i set one as default how do I clear the defaults? Thanks
