"Best" is a value judgment. What's best fr you may be worst for me.

    I prefer Nova Launcher.

For Nav I used to prefer Mapquest, but that and Maps have become so alike that I find myself preferring Maps now. Neither one is really offline, but neither one uses much data.

Hi everyone! Thank you for the helpful comments, though they were limited, so I made a list that anyone can edit (wasn't sure what site to put it so I put in on google spreadsheets). It's a gift to the droid community!! --

    far from completed

Please include links or other really good support when recommending an app that you've meticulously tested (in comparison with other apps of its kind) for inclusion.

have tried other launchers in the past, tested out nova launcher, seems fine so far,

downloaded apps should go straight into the "homescreen" not the app "drawer"

may be a setting for that, still going through them

highest rating and users on play store, so it's the best =)

If you go to the play store settings you can enable adding shortcuts to the homescreen automatically, but I don't believe you can stop them going into your app drawer too. You can hide apps in the drawer to achieve the same effect though.

    "there are many more (lists)"

-- but but but that's not at all helpful, we want the best one.

"If you go to the play store"

-- i think nova had that setting (because it's the best), don't remember

Who is this "we"? Thought it was "you" that had problems with your phone? To be honest your posts sound like a wind-up so I suggest you do your own research.
