live wallpapers?.... and rooting my droid eris

ok i know there is probably a 1000 thread on here telling me how to do this but can anyone give me some direct links on how to root my eris, and how to get live wallpapers to work there after.

As far as rooting goes, I'd suggest you start in the "All things Root" section located above these threads.

Live wallpapers are not available for the Eris due to the processor. Plus they are, IMO, battery-gulping, unnecessary eye candy.

I wouldn't be quite so sure bout that. Vanilladroid ROM has them running perfectly, and it doesnt take a hit on the battery life.
