Support Loading music onto the tablet

    I just purchased an eee pad for my daughter for Christmas. I'm trying to load a bunch of music onto it for her, but none of the files will transfer to the tablet. I've tried dragging and dropping the files from the file manager, I've tried doubletwist, I've tried Windows Media Player, and none of them will acutally transfer the songs over onto the tablet. Any suggestions?

    Have you tried Copy and Paste?

    Select the file, then Copy, go to the destination folder and Paste.

    Yep, copy and paste won't work either. This is so frustrating. My hubby has the exact same tablet and it loads music and videos just fine.

    That might be the problem- use a different USB port than your 1st Transformer.

    Put the music files onto a memory card/stick then plug this into your Transformer and go from there.

    I can't recommend enough FILE EXPERT. It will allow you to turn your Transformer into an FTP server and you can just copy the files across your network that way. Tons of apps do this, but File Expert is my favorite (and free).

    Once you run it, just choose SHARE MY CONTENTS, then START SHARE VIA FTP.

    It will give you a pop up that tells you what to put in on your PC to access your Transformer.

    Poof, use your favorite file manager (I use Directory Opus personally) to copy the files over.

    Fast too.

    Hi THanks for the tips on installing file expert... so far so good but what do you mean by Directory Opus. I though tI would be able to just drag and drop???

    Sure you can ... I just need a little more power than "drag and drop" for file management.
