Locale Ping.fm Plug-In
With Locale and the Ping.fm Plug-In you can post to or set the status of all your social networks like Twitter MySpace Facebook Brightkite Google Talk AIM LinkedIn Jaiku Wordpress Blogger automatically based on conditions, such as Location and Time. Ping.fm / Update all of your social networks at once! account and the free App "Locale" from the market required.
How to use it:
- Open Locale and "Add a Situation", name it and define a map location or other condition with "Add Condition".
- Then click "Add Setting" for this Situation - here you can choose the Plug-In "Ping.fm"
- Click on "Get Mobile Key" to go to http://ping.fm/key/ and create a mobile key. (If you have a computer handy, its more easy, but also works on the phone)
- Copy the generated key (only 4-5 characters) to the settings of the Ping.FM Plugin.
- Use the Back button of your phone to jump back into the Plug-In. Press OK Button
- The plugin will authorize the mobile key and you can start using it - without ever having to authorize again. This may take a few seconds.
- Choose to which group or service you want to post the update to
- Put in a text.
- Press the menue button and then the Save button.
- When you are now in the specified situation and Locale is active, your status update will be posted through ping.fm
