Hello, im just getting my Droid all customized and stuff, almost done
(already have UD rom and an awesome transformers bootscreen) and i am wondering a couple things.
1. I want to replace my lock screen, specifically the pattern with a pin code.
-to really explain my thought process is i do not like the pattern thing and i hate lock 2.0 and apps like it becuase they are hogs on my phone (and the home button just bypasses them...). All i want is a simple pin code thats unbypassable then i will be a happy man. Which brings me to my second question:
2. Have any past versions of Android ever had a pin code? What was the way of locking Androids before the pattern?
What i want to do is (in a nutshell) copy an old android pin code lock screen and paste it over the new droid pattern. I know its way more complicated than that but i think if i used something from google like that then it wouldnt be such an mem hog like the lock 2.0 type apps... so in review: New Pattern lock replaced with an older android lock (thats not an external program but apart of the system itself like the current one) that is a pin code.
I know my idea might not written so well but im working on 30min of sleep here....Thank you a ton for anybody who could spead some light on this. oh and i know im in the developer forum but im no ace, please feel free to speak to me like im a dum dum, and speak in normal language. Nerd talk is an acquired skill that i don't have yet.
