    Hi all,

Got my desire today, loving the thing already- though was wondering if there's any way to disable text message previews on my lock screen? Surely this represents a massive security flaw- having the text for anyone to read without needing to unlock- so I would have thought there was some way to remove this?

One way to do it is to use a different sms notifier... e.g. SMS Popup which is really good... you disable the application notifications and use the new notifier app to let you know you have text.. you'll have a bit more control then!

Does "notification settings->popup settings->privacy mode" do what you want?

Never used it, but from the description "message content will only be shown after unlock" it sounds like what you are after.

Go SMS allows you just to get a popup, just saying New Message. There's also Missed Reminders app, if you want to keep the standard SMS service. Turn the notification off in the message app and MR app will tell you you've an unread SMS in and on the notification bar.
