Hi im new to Android recently making the jump from Apples iOS and so far so good. I am running Marshmallow on my LG G3. When I get a notification is there a way to open the notification from the lock screen without having to swipe to home screen first. I find this quite frustrating.
    Thanks.

    Hi

Where opening the notification means opening the app, then no, because that defeats the purpose of a lock screen. Notifications with controls built in should work directly in the lock screen eg play music

Swipe to homescreen? What Android version are you running? I am on Android 6.0.1 on a Galaxy S7 Edge, and when I tap on the lockscreen notification, unlocking brings me straight to the app. This was also the case in my old Note 2 running 4.4.2.

I believe the op wants the tap on a notification on the lockscreen to unlock the phone and open the app, without any other swipe or code i.e. no unlocking
