This usually happens when an auto task-killer terminates the music player. You should be able to restore your lock screen by rebooting - then put the music player in the task killers exclusion list.

Maybe I dont understand your response but my idea is the exact opposite of what I understand your's is. When you close the music app or open another app, the music player actually is still open in memory and that is why the current song is displayed on lock screen. If you actually kill the music app, which happens when you reset device then the lock screen alone appears.

Can see why it confuses you but it is abnormal termination of the music player that causes this - if you dont believe me try it for yourself. That is also why there aren't loads of postings of this problem occuring - it is only with those with auto taskillers that it affects.

Interesting - I will take your word for it. It happens to me every morning after I used the Music Sleep app to shut off music playback after I fall asleep. So this app must kill the music player and that is why I have the last song played on lock screen. The weird thing is I do not restart phone and after a few hours with normal use the correct lock screen appears. As I write this maybe that is because I open music player and that fixes problem. I will test this.

Thanks for explanation.

Just to clarify Phillevy is correct, it worked for me anyway. Have now put player in ignore list so it does not happen again. Thanks again :)
