Lock Screen Widgets

Is the only way to put a widget on lockscreen (like HD widgets clock and weather) on the lockscreen in place of the stock clock through rooting? And if I root is it easy to manipulate the lock screen?

Not sure, but have you tried the app GoLocker? I haven't tried it on this device, but I tried it on my Evo4g and it worked nicely.

im not positive about the first question..but if you root, and flash a custom rom, you will have virtually full control of your lockscreen to customize however you want..depending on what rom you flash of course.

you need to use widgetlocker and you can, definitely worth the few dollars. and no you cant change the stock clock on the stock lockscreen

you dont need to root to change the apps on your homescreen just go into settings then lock screen. i do use widgetlocker to change the clock on the lockscreen though
