I just came back from a trip to visit my wife's family in Cambodia. Of course I took my phone with me for music and games for the loooong plane ride, 18 hours and any long drives we took. While their I let 2 of her nephews play some games on it as I have different games then they do. I left the room to go eat and when I came back my phone was locked from to many pattern attempts. Now because I was were I knew their would be no service I turned on Juice Defender on extreme mode to save as much battery as I could. Now I'm guessing because JD is on that every time I try to use my user name a password to unlock it, it won't work because JD won't let my 3g turn on. Yes I know my password as I can sign in to my Gmail on my laptop with no problem. Is their anything I can do to unlock my phone?
Was the phone in Airplane Mode too? What happens if you call the number? Maybe there is a back way around the lock. Were you rooted? If yes, there is a number of things you can try. Or if you happened to have USB debugging turned on in your settings you can get into the phone via a computer. Worst case scenario, you will have to hard reset from the bootloader (pre-boot) and lose all your internal/phone data. MicroSD card will NOT be erased/reset. You might find this article interesting:
Based upon how I am reading your post, you are saying JD is keeping you locked out from your phone. Let's move this discussion to the app section to see if others who use JD can help/assist. since you know all of the passwords, why not just uninstall JD?
Did you have the newest Jelly Bean phone Update installed? If yes, HTC may have a way to remote into your phone using their new 'Rescue' application/LogMeIn client.
You will have to contact HTC Support as the use of this portal is all on their end. They will be able to tell you if this is a situation where they can 'Rescue'. Hopefully it is something they can help with and I'm not leading you down a dead end (could be possible). You will need access to the phone dialer - I'm assuming since you can answer a call you can back out to the dialer or use call waiting to dial something. And now that I think of it 'Rescue' will need internet access to work too I think, but maybe that is something they can activate on their end? Having Juice Defender blocking 3G sure is a sticky situation :O Let us know what they say, I'm very curious. P.S. watch your Sprint bill closely, next billing period, to make sure you don't get stuck with some international charges from your big trip.
HTC can't do it because I would need to enter a pin and also need to give them permision to control my phone from my phone and because I can't get into my phone I can't do any of that. So they said my only option is a reset. I have not done a reset yet cause I'm hoping that someone on here has another idea but I will do a reset tonight if I have to as I need my phone.
Boot into safe mode? http://m.lifehacker.com/5965022/how-to-reboot-your-android-phone-or-tablet-into-safe-mode
Tried but JD is still running when I boot in safe mode. Looking more and more a reset is in my near future.
Well thats odd, on Gingerbread you could unlock the phone even with airplane mode on. You don't need 3g access to recovery your phone via Gmail and password because your Gmail account and password are stored as a file on the data partition and your phone should check to see if the info you entered is indeed your Gmail and password. Based on what your saying they probably removed it for some reason. weird, if your not rooted your only option is to do a factory reset via stock recovery.
Too many patterns phone locked and i am also forget my user name and password but i know gmail id and password.
