On my Samsung Galaxy Note 8, running Android ver. 9, when I Long-Press on a phone number or address the popup menu doesn’t show the option to call (number) or to map (open Google Maps for address), but displays all the other options (Copy, Select all, Web Search, Share…).

Ideas?

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the reply/question.

This problem happens in any app that I've tired. Examples above are from ColorNote.

Hmmm have you tried Samsung Notes that's included in your Note 8?

On my z fold 3 if I told in a number in Samsung Notes and long pee it, I get the call option.

Thanks for the reply. The issue isn't app-specific. The issue occurs in any/all apps.

I think what Milo is trying to say is that the function you want may be a Bixby function!

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I have another, newer Samsung phone with Bixby turned off (don't care for it) and this feature still works, so I'm guessing that it's not a Bixby-based function.

:) I usually sleep in on Tues. and Thurs. I do have a side occupation that pretty much tackles in my other days too, also I am a writer too, so please excuse me if I seem a bit loopy :)

Ha, I'm a writer as well, and have taught Creative Writing classes for many years--a major passion of mine. So, scribble on and be as loopy as you want/need to be!

I've don creative writing toooo. Ufortunately for me I am much to dry from humour, and a simple left field doesn't cover it.

When you mix a new sauce it can take many moons for the local Hebrew to become acustom to the taste.
