Well, thinking about the market positions of T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, you can understand why T-Mobile (and Sprint) will be slightly more aggressive when it comes to keeping customers.

I'm not saying that Verizon Wireless wants to give existing and long-term customers the finger, but they seem to have far better success holding onto existing customers and gaining new ones than T-Mobile does.

  3. Carriers are like crack dealers. You always get a lot up front, the deal, and then they have you hooked. Once you are hooked what more do they need to do other than keep giving you your fix?
