So, my galaxy S7 decided to take a dump on me yesterday, half the screen looks like the static you used to get on a tv when you didn't get that channel, except it does not move. The right half of the screen. It's still responsive to touch. Anyway, a factory reset didn't even clear it, so I sent it back to samsung while it's still under warranty. I should get it back in about 2 weeks, but in the mean time, I'm stuck with my galaxy s5 and wondering if I should look at new phones. I know Sprint is not the best carrier, especially for phone selection, but it's what I've got, and my dad and I split the phone bill between us, so I probably will not switch carriers. In any case, I'm up for an upgrade with Sprint, should I wish to take it, since I paid cash for my S7. I like the S7, but the outlook for the future is little grim for my taste. I can't stand the fact that I can't use a glass screen protector for the S7, because of the slightly curved screen. I So I really don't like the new trend of curved screens on everything. I don't like the fact that EVERYTHING has gotten rid of the dedicated home and back buttons, but I guess that's what the top dogs at android want, so screw you guys for that one. That may be one that I just have to deal with. I also don't like the new trend of getting rid of the headphone jack. Given my pet peeves, is there really anything decent still out there? The new LG V30 has a curved screen, so does the S8, the pixel got rid of the headphone jack and they have that stupid edge sense or whatever it is. I don't know if I can even get a pixel for sprint. Is there anything out there still worth getting, or on the horizon that might actually go back to a place that makes some sense?
