looking for a clock...

I'm looking for a clock that comes on when my screen shuts down. Sort of a desktop clock, nothing fancy but something that uses little power. Does anything exist like this?

But it only works when the phone is charging.

Cheers but i need one for while I'm at work so i don't have to keep setting countdowns or alarms.
Can't charge the phone there and leaving the screen on kills the battery pretty quickly.
Don't mind rooting if i need to.

If your screen is AMOLED the desk clock will work fine.

The desk clock should already be on your phone. Pretty sure it comes with Android.
