Looking for a PC connection control App
Probably a simple issue but my Brain is on shut down mode[IMG]

Coming from Wm 6.5 I had a App that I could connect my Omnia i920 to the PC and control my device with my PC mouse.
I could view files and move or delete a needed etc by using a enlarged view of my current screen on my PC.

    Thank You

Yea, it is called windows explorer. Put your phone in USB mass storage mode and it will be another flash drive on your system. Then with windows explorer you can move files over like with any drive.

I see your looking for an application that allows you to use your computer's mouse to controll your cell phone...

Gmote -- does the exact opposite uses your phone as a mouse
Remote PC -- usings phone to connect to your computer also does the opposite

I've never heard of somebody doing what your looking for... I'm assuming with a WM it would sync up better with a windows computer...

I'm sure there's so kind of app for this I am curious now too... on a side note, what are the advantages of this?

Using MyMobiler on a WinMo phone you could fully control your phone via the PC screen. Came in handy to be able to text using your PC's keyboard and not have to pick up the phone to do it. Call it convenience, call it lazy. Either way, it was a nice handy thing to have.

Yeah mymobiler on WM was pretty nice for texting while sitting at your computer. Would be nice to have something like that on Android.

MyMobler That's the app I was trying to think of Thank You.
It came in handy if you were looking for files or were making changes.
The main benefit was a larger viewable screen on your PC of the current screen on the phone.

Interestingly enough, if you connect your X via USB and select PC Mode, allow all the Motorola drivers to install, right-click the MotoConnect task bar item that gets installed and select About MotoConnect, this appears to be one of the default functions of the Motorola software but is absent. Not sure if it is an additional piece of software that needs downloaded or is only available for certain devices. The conspiracy theorist in me suspects that Verizon has something to do with it missing to ensure you could not use the phone for any sort of tethering via USB.

I bet it will get made... the app my frienbd uses on his Iphone to remote connect to his server was made by a group of guys trying to do what you describe and had it working, but they couldnt sell it due to the eula of the apple app store. So i bet they get something like that working for android as they already made the remote desktop version for the android.
