Help Looking for an App

Can anyone suggest a travel assistant type of app.
Not just navigation.
I'm looking for an app that will tell me when I’m near a Point Of Interest, Tourist Attraction, Reststop/Truckstop, Etc.

WAZE is horribly expensive on data use, unless you have an unlimited account.

it can eat up 4 gB of data in just one day's use....
my son had to uninstall it when his employer saw how hard it was hitting their phone bill.

CoPilot USA can show all of those things at your request.
it does not show them as you drive along though.
I use it to determine what I want to go see when I am stopped.
