Right now I am just using the stock Messaging app on Android 2.2.
I have used Chomp SMS before and it looks great and all, except for the fact that you are being smacked in the face with advertising every time you open the app or take a look at the widget.

I am looking for something that is simple to use but looks visually appealing, certainly more so than the stock Messaging app.

There have been many other threads about this topic. I won't bash you for it though. Lol. Try out Handcent.

I use handcent.. Haven't tried anything else. Handset has ads, but is the most powerful mms I have ever seen.

You will barely notice the ads. They are only on the screen where you adjust settings.

I used Handcent since I bought my phone... then switched to Chomp recently... like chomp more due to the widget.

Donated to Chomp to lose the ads...
