I just bought an Evo to replace my N1 because I've moved to Puerto Rico and found data throughput on my N1 was almost completely unusable (extremely slow).

I'm quite surprised to find that the Evo is much faster in every way than my N1. Since they have the same processor and GPU, I would expect that their performance wouldn't be noticeably different, but the Evo is quite obviously faster in every way, interface, responsiveness, etc. Obviously the data is much better as Sprint is the premier carrier on the island, but I'm very surprised at how much faster the phone just runs in my hand.

This has gotten me to wondering if my N1 is working correctly. I've never had any real trouble with it, although the screen has always been laggy when swiping between the home screens and stuff like that.

Looking for other's experiences moving from N1 to Evo. Did you see this obvious speed difference?
